Moroccan Engineering Students Attend NASA Space Camp, Boosting Kingdom’s Aerospace Expertise

The Space camp is welcoming twelve Moroccan students from the Ecole Hassania des Travaux publics. These candidates, who will discover the professions of space and the NASA space shuttle, will be able to become familiar with this field and gain experience for the Kingdom.
Sponsored by the US Embassy in Rabat and organized by Le Maroc Scientifique, this initiative is not only an opportunity for travel and visits for the students, but also a wealth of experiences to be acquired.
These twelve students will then be able to visit the American federal capital, Washington, and discover many museums, the White House and the US State Department.
This Camp, launched since 1982, is not only a fun and interactive experience for the candidates, but also educational, combining theory and practice, thanks to a simulated training on board the NASA space shuttle.
It should be noted that this Space camp was preceded by the Race2Space competition, through which students who excel in science, technology, engineering and mathematics were invited to produce a three-minute video explaining a scientific concept in English and then promote this video using social networks.
The videos of the winners are available on the website, www.race2space.ma, it is indicated.
