Moroccan-Dutch Player Declines Netherlands U21 Call-Up

Moroccan international Couhaib Driouech of PSV Eindhoven has declined the invitation of the Dutch under-21 team to participate in the matches against Slovakia and England, on November 11 and 18.
Driouech informed the Dutch federation of his decision not to join the U21s for these two matches, preferring to wait to make a final choice. Couhaib Driouch and Anass Salah-Eddine are on the list of 23 players called up by Michael John Reiziger, the coach of the Dutch Olympic team, for the matches against Slovakia and England, the same source informs.
To recall, Driouech won the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations with the Moroccan Olympic team (U23). In accordance with FIFA regulations prohibiting the integration of a player into two national teams of the same category, the Dutch federation should obtain the agreement of the Moroccan federation to guarantee Driouech’s presence in the Dutch U21s for these two confrontations.
