Since the activation of the European Entry/Exit System (EES) on April 10th, Moroccan transporters have faced unprecedented complications. This digital system automatically records overstays, leading to territorial bans for many drivers. To defuse this deadlock, Minister Abdessamad Kayouh took advantage of the thirteenth edition of the Logismed trade show to meet with European commissioners responsible for migration and transport.

Describing these exchanges as "very positive," the government official announced that "short, medium and long-term solutions have been proposed and will be studied in coordination with Spanish authorities to facilitate Moroccan drivers’ access to European territory."

These blockages directly threaten daily exports of agricultural and industrial products to Europe, the Kingdom’s main commercial partner. Facing the urgency, freight professionals said they received "serious guarantees" from their supervising ministry, viewing these diplomatic efforts as "positive signals."
