Moroccan Driver Faces Charges After Ramming Border Post in Ceuta with 50 Migrants

The driver of the van that rammed straight into the Tarajal border post in Ceuta, on Monday, November 18, 2019, is Moroccan. He is likely to get into serious trouble with the Spanish justice system.
The driver is a Moroccan residing abroad (MRE), A., aged 38, indicates the Spanish press. After his arrest, he was placed in custody in Spain.
He could be prosecuted for an offense against the rights of foreign citizens and assault against representatives of authority.
On Monday, the Civil Guard announced the forced passage of a van that "broke the gate" of the Tarajal border post. There were 50 people, including men, women and children from sub-Saharan Africa, on board the vehicle.
