Moroccan Doctor Becomes First Healthcare Worker to Die from COVID-19 in Country

She fell with her weapons in hand at the Ibn Rochd Hospital (Casablanca), after waging a merciless fight against the coronavirus. This is the first death recorded in the world of health professionals in Morocco.
Until Saturday, April 4, Morocco could be pleased to have spared doctors from dying from coronavirus infection. Unfortunately, since Saturday evening, health professionals are mourning one of their own. Aged 53, the deceased was hospitalized on March 27 at the Sidi Moumen hospital, where she was being treated after testing positive for covid-19. On Saturday morning, "she suffered a double respiratory and arterial hypertension crisis".
Urgently transferred to the Ibn Rochd hospital, where she suffered a first cardiac arrest, her condition would have stabilized around six o’clock in the morning, before suffering a second cardiac arrest that proved fatal.
