Moroccan Dirham Strengthens Against Dollar, Weakens vs Euro as Reserves Hold Steady

During the week of January 24 to 30, 2019, the Moroccan currency appreciated by 0.33% against the US dollar and depreciated by 0.21% against the euro.
According to figures published by Bank Al Maghrib (BAM), no adjudication operation was carried out on the foreign exchange market.
As for the net international reserves, they reached 229 billion dirhams (MMDH), down 4.5% year-on-year, but virtually unchanged from the previous week.
During the same period, the central bank indicates that the Masi rose by 1.3% and 0.6% since the beginning of the year.
