Moroccan Dirham Gains Against Euro, Slips Versus Dollar in Latest Week

During the week of April 18-24, the Moroccan dirham gained value against the European currency and lost it against the US currency.
According to data published by Bank Al Maghrib, the Moroccan currency appreciated by 0.44% against the euro and depreciated by 0.49% against the dollar.
During this period, net international reserves stood at 225.4 billion dirhams (MMDH), a slight decrease of 0.2% compared to the previous week but a 1.9% year-on-year decline, BAM specifies.
During the same week, no auction operation was carried out on the foreign exchange market, according to this note on the weekly indicators of the Moroccan economy.
Note that on Monday, April 29, 2019, one US dollar is worth 9.673 dirhams while one euro is worth 10.770 dirhams.
