Moroccan Dirham Gains Against Dollar, Holds Steady vs Euro as Reserves Reach 399.8 Billion

The Moroccan dirham appreciated by 0.3% against the US dollar and remained almost stable against the euro during the period from June 5 to 11, 2025, according to Bank Al-Maghrib (BAM).
During this period, no auction operations were carried out on the foreign exchange market, indicates BAM in its recent weekly indicators bulletin.
Official reserve assets stood at 399.8 billion dirhams (MMDH) on June 6, down 0.5% week-on-week and up 8.3% year-on-year.
On the interbank market, the average daily trading volume stood at 3.3 MMDH and the interbank rate averaged 2.25%. During the call for tenders on June 11 (value date June 12), the Bank injected 48.6 MMDH in the form of 7-day advances.
On the stock market side, the Masi remained almost stable from June 5 to 11, 2025, thus consolidating a performance of 26.3% since the beginning of the year. This stagnation covers increases of 0.8% in the banking index, 3.2% for mining, 3.2% for real estate participation and promotion.
As for the weekly trading volume, it fell from 2.7 MMDH to 1.6 MMDH week-on-week, mainly carried out on the central stock market.
