Moroccan Dirham Gains Against Dollar and Euro, Official Reserves at 348.3 Billion

The Moroccan currency appreciated by 0.7% against the US dollar and 1.21% against the euro during the week of June 22 to 28, according to data provided by Bank Al-Maghrib (BAM).
During this period, no auction operation was carried out on the foreign exchange market, BAM indicates in its recent bulletin of weekly indicators.
As of June 23, 2023, the official reserve assets (AOR) stood at 348.3 billion dirhams (MMDH), down 0.4% from the previous week and up 7.4% year-on-year, the same source said.
During the week of June 15 to 21, the overall outstanding amount of Bank Al-Maghrib’s interventions stood at 100.9 MMDH, including 54.1 MMDH in the form of 7-day advances on call for tenders, 26.1 MMDH in long-term repurchase agreements and 20.7 MMDH in long-term
