Moroccan Diaspora Outraged: Soaring Travel Costs Threaten Summer Homecomings

Moroccans in the diaspora denounce the exaggerated increase in the prices of airline and ferry tickets, as well as the record-high car rental costs, complicating their return to Morocco during the summer.
Moroccans living abroad have expressed their discontent with this situation, blaming the Ministry of Transport and Logistics for its inaction, despite their many calls to urgently find a viable solution to this unjustified price increase.
The members of the Moroccan diaspora have also criticized the lack of interest shown in this recurring issue by the Directorate of Air Transport and the Directorate of Maritime Transport, which fall under the Ministry of Transport and Logistics.
According to well-informed sources, these strategic positions would be occupied by "inexperienced and incompetent" officials, which explains their inability to find effective solutions to these problems.
Faced with the silence of the authorities, Moroccans living abroad are once again calling for urgent action to restructure the sector, enshrine the principles of transparency, competence and accountability, in order to preserve the image of Morocco and the interests of its citizens, both inside and outside the country.
