Moroccan Customs Seize 14 Tons of Cannabis in Massive Drug Bust

The customs services achieved, in less than 24 hours, a feat. It is the seizure of 14 tons of cannabis in the north and south of the country.
The first seizure took place at the Port of Tanger-Med. The customs agents, in coordination with the police, indeed discovered hidden packages between pallets of oranges destined for export, containing nearly 9 tons of cannabis resin, during a routine scanner check of a truck registered abroad.
The second operation took place in Bir Gandouz. The customs elements of this rural commune were able to seize 936 kg of cannabis, carefully hidden in the chassis of the trailer of a truck transporting a cargo of oranges, presented for export, at the El Guergarate border post.
On Tuesday, October 29, 4.4 tons of cannabis resin were seized at the Port of Tanger-Med. The customs elements found the drugs on board a vehicle transporting a cargo of fish abroad.
