Moroccan Customs Seize 929 Smuggled Smartphones at Spanish Border

A very good catch on the part of customs and police agents at the Melilla border post where several hundred smartphones were seized on board a car belonging to a Moroccan expatriate.
A total of 929 mobile phones were seized by customs and national security elements at the Bni Nsar border post in Nador, according to a statement from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN).
A search operation on Saturday morning made it possible to find the mobile phones in a vehicle registered in Spain and driven by a 40-year-old Moroccan citizen.
A judicial investigation has been opened to determine the destination of these phones and any criminal acts in which the Moroccan citizen may be involved, the same source adds.
