Moroccan Customs Launches Video Campaign to Combat Smuggling Threats

The Customs and Indirect Taxes Administration has published a new video capsule to raise public awareness about the evils of smuggling.
In this new 2 minute 18 second video capsule, the customs administration reminds of the main threats that smuggling can pose to the national company, employment, health, citizen and country security, the environment, the national cultural heritage as well as the state coffers. This scourge could hinder the realization of large-scale value-added projects for the nation, it is further specified.
According to the Customs and Indirect Taxes Administration, the fight against this scourge is the responsibility not only of customs and other concerned public services, but also of citizens who must refrain from buying and consuming products from the illegal trade.
