Moroccan Court Orders Professor to Submit Grades or Face Hefty Hourly Fines

A teacher was summoned, last Friday, by the administrative court of Agadir to return to the National School of Applied Sciences the exam and end-of-internship grades of his students, under threat of a fine of 20,000 dirhams for each hour of delay.
A dispute opposed the National School of Applied Sciences to its professor of Physics and Civil Engineering. He refused to hand over the exam and end-of-internship grades of his students.
The court ordered the submission of the duly signed documents and grade reports, under a penalty of 20,000 dirhams for each hour of delay, starting from the date of notification of the judgment.
Moroccans are increasingly turning to the courts to settle disputes. Several rulings have been handed down in favor of students in dispute with their schools.
