Moroccan Court Examines High-Profile Social Media Defamation and Blackmail Case

The "Hamza monbb" case, a sadly notorious account in the defamation of artists and famous businessmen, was examined in the Marrakech court this Monday, December 16, 2019.
At this new hearing, the charges against Alae Eddin, one of the masterminds of this machine of fraud, blackmail and defamation, will be discussed. Arrested in Ksar Lakbir, the accused is being prosecuted for insults, defamation, extortion, invasion of privacy of individuals through social media, fraud and threats and sexual blackmail via the Internet, recalls Barlamane.
One of the victims of the same suspect declared during his interrogation that Alae Eddin had blackmailed her and that she had been forced to have sexual relations with him and men from the Gulf in exchange for the promise of not publishing her intimate photos hacked from her own mobile phone. The victim was subjected, writes the same source, to atrocities to the point that she became pregnant, but had to have an abortion in a Marrakech clinic.
