Moroccan Court Dissolves Pilots’ Association in Royal Air Maroc Legal Battle

The Court of First Instance in Casablanca ruled in favor, on Wednesday, November 25, 2020, of Royal Air Maroc (RAM) by deciding to dissolve the Moroccan Association of Airline Pilots (AMPL).
End of the RAM-AMPL trial. The court ruled in favor of the airline. Dissatisfied with this verdict, the airline pilots have decided to appeal, a member of the association’s office told Le360.
The Bassamat & Laraqui law firm, which is defending RAM, had filed a request with the court of first instance on September 9 for the dissolution of the AMPL and the nullity of all the agreements signed between it and the management of the Moroccan company.
RAM accused the AMPL of having violated its associative prerogatives to carry out union actions, including calls for strikes.
