Moroccan Court Dissolves Airline Pilots Association Amid Dispute with Royal Air Maroc

While they were expecting pleadings to defend their interests during the RAM-AMPL trial, the pilots were surprised by the decision of the Court of First Instance of Casablanca. It pronounced, this Wednesday, October 28, the dissolution of the Moroccan Association of Airline Pilots.
This decision comes after the complaint of Royal Air Maroc assured by the Bassamt firm, reports Le360. It had requested the dissolution of the AMPL in early September, accusing it of having violated its prerogatives. The court ruled two weeks after the request for postponement by Me Zakaria Mrini, who is defending the AMPL.
In a telephone interview, Me Zakaria Mrini regretted this decision of the public prosecutor after he had submitted his reply, a document of 140 pages, including 120 of annexes. "I am surprised to see the public prosecutor make conclusions without hearing the opposing party. This is very serious. We will leave it to justice to put things in order," he promised.
In addition to the dissolution of the AMPL, the defense of Royal Air Maroc has invited the court to rule in favor of the nullity of all the agreements signed between the AMPL and the management of RAM. For now, the file, entrusted to Judge Mohamed Kadiri, has been postponed to Wednesday, November 4 for the pleadings.
