Moroccan Consumers Overwhelmingly Prefer Local Food and Beverages, Study Finds

The Sunergia Group has just carried out a new study on the quality of Moroccan products. It emerges that 79% of the people surveyed find that local food and beverages have much better quality, while 12% prefer the quality of foreign products.
According to the study results, 18% of Moroccans aged 25 to 34 and living in urban areas appreciate the quality of foreign products, especially the efforts made by these brands in advertising and promotional actions on the internet and elsewhere in order to win over the largest number of consumers. Another factor that also speaks in favor of foreign products is their wide availability wherever they are in demand. In contrast to the city, in rural areas, local products are more appreciated. 85% versus 79% believe that food and beverages produced in Morocco are of better quality.
But in the field of cosmetics and well-being, 45% of the people approached think that the quality of Moroccan products is better, especially those made from local ingredients such as argan oil, prickly pear seeds or even cedar wood and ghassoul. Only 39% of respondents prefer the quality of foreign products.
As for cleaning and cleaning products, 52% of Moroccans are betting on local products while 33% believe that the quality of foreign products is the best. As for fashion and other accessories, 48% of Moroccans swear only by local products, compared to 37% for foreign products. In the field of furniture and decoration, 67% of Moroccans judge the quality of Moroccan brands to be superior, while 19% believe that the quality of foreign products is better.
