Moroccan Consulate Secures Return for 200 Stranded Nationals in Spanish Port City

The Moroccan Consulate in Algeciras has finally put an end to the suffering of 200 Moroccans, blocked for 3 days in the port city, by authorizing their return to Italy, thanks to the transit country agreements obtained at the last minute.
Initially, twelve buses, coming from Italy and France, had stopped in Algeciras, carrying nearly 500 passengers, mostly Moroccans. A situation that had alerted the mayor of the city, Jose Ignacia Landaluce.
While the 200 passengers were able to be evacuated thanks to the intervention of the Moroccan Consul in the municipality of Cadiz, the 300 others still represent a risk for the inhabitants, knowing that they have not been subjected to any health test.
Faced with this chaotic and especially critical situation, Moroccan families residing in the municipality have offered to host their compatriots at their homes, until a solution is found.
