Moroccan Climber Nawal Sfendla Conquers Manaslu, Her Fourth of World's Seven Summits

The young Moroccan mountaineer Nawal Sfendla has just taken on a new challenge. She has succeeded in climbing the summit of Manaslu at 8163 meters, located in the Himalayan mountain range, the seventh highest mountain in Nepal.

Nawal Sfendla continues her adventure, that of climbing the seven highest peaks in the world. After conquering Mount Kilimanjaro at 5,895 meters, a dormant volcano in Tanzania; Aconcagua at 6,962 meters in Argentina, the highest mountain in the Americas; Mount Elbrus in Russia, the highest and most important summit in Russia and Europe at an altitude of 5,642 meters and the highest peaks in Morocco of over 4,000 meters in six days, she has just reached the summit of Manaslu at 8163 meters.

In a statement to Morocco World News, she indicated that this feat may make her "perhaps the youngest Moroccan in the world to climb this mountain". The Moroccan mountaineer documented her journey step by step, and day by day on her Instagram account with her over 50,000 subscribers. They have expressed their support and encouragement at every stage of the adventure. "It was super difficult and scary, but the support and advice of everyone pushes you to go further. [...] It was a wonderful experience," the young Moroccan mountaineer rejoices.

Nawal Sfendla’s ultimate goal is to climb Mount Everest, the highest peak on the planet, which rises to 8,850 meters.
