Moroccan City of Nador Imposes Curfew as COVID-19 Cases Surge

The city of Nador is barricading itself again with the return of restrictive measures and the curfew due to the resurgence of new infections. Travel authorizations are now required before entering and leaving the city.
The night curfew has been in effect since Saturday, October 24. To date, the city has recorded 1,200 infections and 29 deaths since the start of the epidemic in Morocco, after recording 52 new cases this Saturday, October 24.
Any violation of the restrictive measures and the presentation of the travel authorization issued by the competent authorities is punishable by fines.
These measures also concern restaurants and cafes, which must close strictly at 10 p.m. As for local businesses, they must close at 9 p.m. As for Oulad Mimoun, the largest and most famous souk in the region, it is required to close at 6 p.m.
