Moroccan City of Kénitra Enters Lockdown as COVID-19 Cases Surge

The city of Kénitra will be reconfinement starting this Sunday, September 13. Local authorities made this decision following the heavy toll of new cases of contamination recorded by the city on Friday.
The news is relayed by Aziz Kermat, member of the Kénitra municipal council. On his Facebook page, the local elected official stressed that it was decided "to suspend all commercial activities and to impose a curfew from 6 p.m.". This measure will be effective from this Sunday, thus placing Kénitra on the list of cities that have been reconfinement following the discovery of new outbreaks of contamination that have recently appeared.
It should be recalled that the city of Kénitra recorded 246 new cases of contamination due to the Covid-19 pandemic on Friday and 39 confirmed cases recorded in the last 24 hours.
