Moroccan TV Channels to Debut First Homegrown Animated Series

Moroccan children will soon discover the first 100% Moroccan animated cartoons. The first episodes, currently being designed in the Artcoustic studios in Casablanca, will be broadcast this year on the national channels Al Aoula and 2M.
With a budget of two million dirhams each, these projects are initiated by the two channels, in partnership with the Meknes International Festival of Animated Film, according to SRNT News.
After winning two tenders, the Artcoustic studios are currently working on the production of these two animated series of 20 to 30 episodes in 2D and 3D formats, each inspired by the heritage and history of Morocco.
The conceptualization of the two animated series, as well as the scriptwriting, are carried out in the studios. For the writing, the team called on external contributors.
