Moroccan Caterers Urge Government to Allow Reopening Amid COVID-19 Restrictions

In a letter addressed to the Minister of the Interior, the Moroccan Federation of Caterers (FMT) pleads for the inclusion of its sector on the list of professions benefiting from the easing of confinement.
Caterers are concerned about the resumption of their activity. That’s why they are asking the Minister of the Interior to add their sector to the list of activities allowed to resume. According to the FMT, the months of inactivity have had serious consequences on their sector. More than 20 direct and indirect trades have been severely affected by the health crisis, it is explained.
In its letter, the FMT has undertaken to strictly comply with all health safety measures: not to exceed 50% of the reception capacity, the sterilization of banquet halls and the venue of events before and after the event, the taking of the temperature of all guests and employees, their sterilization before and after the event, compliance with the safety distance of 1 meter, the provision of masks and hydroalcoholic gels, as well as the sterilization of all tools used.
