Moroccan Car Owner Takes Dacia to Court Over Defective New Vehicle

A dispute opposes I.B., a resident of Kenitra, to a Dacia dealer concerning a new Dacia Sandero Stepway purchased. A judicial expertise, ordered following a complaint from the owner, reveals technical defects that call into question the compliance of the vehicle.
The acquisition of the vehicle, for an amount of 210,000 dirhams, dates back a few months. Despite the warranty, technical problems appear quickly. The owner notably reports a first breakdown of the shock absorbers a week after the purchase, followed by an imbalance of the vehicle. Following I.B.’s complaint, the Kenitra court ordered a judicial expertise.
The expertise, carried out on October 28, 2024 in the absence of the representatives of Gharb Maâmoura Auto (summoned according to the procedure), highlights several points. The expert notes premature wear of the front and rear shock absorbers, suggesting a potential manufacturing or assembly defect.
