The court of first instance of Témara is looking into the case of violence against the caïd of the seventh administrative annex of the prefecture of Skhirat-Témara, involving a Moroccan living in Canada, as well as members of her family.
The MRE and her brother (also a Moroccan national living in Canada), as well as two other individuals who provided false testimony, appear this Wednesday before the court of first instance of Témara. They had been arrested and brought before the competent public prosecutor’s office, which decided to prosecute them in detention under Article 267 of the Penal Code. They risk a sentence of criminal imprisonment of two to three years, reports Al Akhbar.
The MRE is accused of having tried to recover items from her brother and another relative that the competent authorities of the prefecture of Skhirat-Témara had seized in public space. These items were on display for sale. The MRE, her brother, their mother and a relative of their family are accused of having gone several times to the headquarters of the seventh administrative annex, harassing the auxiliary forces agents and civil servants in order to recover their belongings.
It was during one of these back-and-forths to the headquarters of the administrative annex that "this woman jumped on the caïd to slap him when the latter prevented her from filming".
