Moroccan Business Owner Arrested in Spain for Extreme Labor Exploitation

The National Police arrested a Moroccan businessman accused of exploiting his employees, also of Moroccan origin. He paid one of them 150 euros to work seven days a week.
The 43-year-old businessman, owner of a clothing recycling factory, exploited his employees to whom he promised a work contract. One of his workers finally filed a complaint against him, reports Antena 3.
In his complaint, he explains to the police agents the inhuman working and living conditions he was subjected to. He worked seven days a week and received 150 euros, and spent the night on a mattress in an industrial area next to the clothing bags. He adds that he managed to flee the factory. His employer, holding his passport, would have threatened to report him to the authorities so that he would be deported to Morocco.
The agents carried out a search of the factory. They found two other Moroccan workers there, also in an irregular situation. They worked without any safety measures, without ventilation or protection. They are without a contract and without insurance and receive a derisory salary.
