Moroccan Boxer Khadija El Mardi Clinches Bronze at Women’s World Boxing Championship

Morocco distinguished itself at the world championship held in Ulan-Ude, Russia, by winning the bronze medal in the super middleweight category.
There were 260 boxers from 52 countries competing in Russia. Khadija El Mardi came out on top, even though the fight was difficult. By finding a place on the podium, she has just achieved a feat that has been inaccessible to African countries for many years.
According to Le matin, the team in the running was composed of Rababe Chedans in the -48 kg category, followed by Yassmin Moutaki in the -51 kg. Oumaïma Al Alami will try to break through in the -54 kg category, while Oumaïma Lahbib will be engaged in the -69 kg. Finally, Khadija El Mardi who had a good performance in the -75 kg category.
The women’s national boxing team had won the top spot on the podium at the last African Games held in Morocco in August.
