Moroccan Border Restrictions Disrupt Summer Travel Plans for Asturias Community

The Moroccan community in Asturias, the second largest, with some 3,000 inhabitants, has been hard hit by the coronavirus pandemic.
The vast majority will not go this summer to visit their families and friends, due to the closure of the Moroccan borders, health restrictions and the fear of being contaminated.
Morocco, which is experiencing a resurgence of coronavirus cases these days, only allows access to its territory by boat from France or Italy, or on flights with the two national airlines, which makes the trip much more expensive.
