At 93 years old, Othman Benjelloun dominates the national rankings thanks to the performance of his financial group Bank of Africa. Although his fortune has slightly declined compared to the $1.9 billion recorded in 2016, he maintains his leadership in Morocco. He is ahead of Aziz Akhannouch, whose assets reach $1.6 billion, and Anas Sefrioui, stabilized at $1.3 billion at the head of the Addoha real estate group.

On an international scale, Elon Musk crushes the competition with a staggering fortune of $839 billion. This exceptional leap consolidates his dominance over the Google magnates, Larry Page and Sergey Brin, who complete the podium. According to Forbes, this trio illustrates "the continued hegemony of the technology and artificial intelligence sectors" on the global financial landscape.

The 2026 ranking also marks a decline for several historical figures. Bernard Arnault drops to seventh place worldwide with $171 billion, overtaken by Jeff Bezos and Mark Zuckerberg. At the same time, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang climbs to eighth place worldwide with $154 billion, surpassing Warren Buffett and Amancio Ortega, who close the top 10.

Finally, Bill Gates continues his descent in the global hierarchy, landing in 19th place with $108 billion. He positions himself just ahead of Françoise Bettencourt Meyers, whose fortune of $100 billion closes the global top 20. This evolution confirms the shift of wealth towards the new pillars of the digital economy and technological innovation.
