Moroccan Banks Pledge Support for Households and Businesses Amid Coronavirus Crisis

The Professional Group of Banks of Morocco (GPBM) intends to support households and businesses impacted by the spread of the coronavirus, in order to preserve the national economic fabric.
"In addition to the measures taken for awareness and protection, both of the human resources of the banks and their clients, for the prevention against the spread of the coronavirus as well as for the maintenance of the continuity of banking services, the banks are committed to providing their support in the case-by-case treatment of the difficulties of certain households and businesses induced by this pandemic," says the Professional Group of Banks of Morocco in a press release.
According to the GPBM, the elements of the banking measures in this area will be announced on the occasion of the next meeting of the "economic monitoring committee". "Our goal is that together with the various stakeholders of the kingdom, we can get through this global crisis serenely in order to preserve the national economic fabric for the development of our country," concludes the press release.
