Moroccan Bank Attijariwafa Adopts SWIFT Global Payment Innovation Standard

Since January 13, Attijariwafa Bank is the first Moroccan bank to comply with the international SWIFT Global Payment Innovation (GPI) standard. The announcement was made by the banking group in a press release.
The Attijariwafa Bank Group specifies that "in February 2017, SWIFT made the SWIFT GPI standard operational and invited the member banks of its network to update their tools by gradually complying with this new system". The bank indicates that it has included this initiative in its strategic plan in order to improve international payments.
It will be a question of offering clients and international banking partners a new online experience in line with preferred international practices, "combining digitalization, transparency, responsiveness and security", it is specified. In other words, Attijariwafa Bank certifies "its leadership in the international support of economic operators".
For the record, SWIFT is a group that provides, among other things, communication platforms, products and services to connect more than 10,800 financial institutions and professional clients in more than 200 countries and territories. It allows its users to be at the forefront of information.
