Moroccan Avocado Industry Refutes Spanish Farmers’ Claims Amid EU Market Tensions

The Moroccan Association of Avocado Producers "MAVA" is rising up against the smear campaign that Spanish farmers are waging against Moroccan avocado, highly prized on the European community market. On Wednesday, it received the support of the Moroccan Confederation of Agriculture and Rural Development (COMADER), which swept away all the accusations of the Spanish farmers.
COMADER has reaffirmed its unwavering support for the Moroccan Association of Avocado Producers "MAVA" which has denied and provided explanations to the unfounded accusations of the association of farmers in Valencia "AVA-ASAJA". The latter, reports COMADER in a press release, criticized Moroccan avocado, highly esteemed on the European community market, accounting for 90% of exports, due to its quality.
The avocado sector is now an opportunity for job creation and national and international investment, and the kingdom has all the conditions required for its development, with the youth of the orchards providing it with natural and biological protection.
