Moroccan Authorities Seize Cash from Drug Lords’ Villas After Major Narcotics Bust

In Tangier, elements of the Royal Gendarmerie discovered and seized a large sum of money in two luxury villas. These searches follow the seizure of 12 tons of drugs last Monday. The traffickers, however, have vanished.
The driver of the truck that transported the 12 tons of seized drugs revealed the names of two barons. According to sources cited by Al3omk, it is probably a settling of scores between drug traffickers. They estimate that the driver’s confessions are "a precedent in the standards of the world of international trafficking that require carriers not to reveal the names of their employers".
The information provided was of great use to the elements of the Royal Gendarmerie. During the searches of a house in the Iberia district and a luxury villa in the Souryinnes (the Syrians) district, they seized 100 million dirhams. These houses belong to two fugitive drug barons in the North who are the subject of a national arrest warrant.
