Moroccan Asylum Seeker Dies in Tragic Truck Accident in Ceuta

A 23-year-old Moroccan died on Friday after falling from underneath a truck. He had left the Tarajal (Ceuta) warehouses since December to apply for political asylum.
The young man, who was under the truck, lost his balance, before falling and crashing at the level of the service station located on Avenida González Tablas, reports Ceuta Television.
Rushed to the university hospital in Ceuta, he died a few hours later from multiple fractures throughout his body.
The victim is one of the migrants who arrived en masse in Ceuta last May. He was staying in the Tarajal warehouses until last December, before embarking on the procedures to obtain political asylum. He probably thought the truck was heading to the port where he would try to sneak in as a stowaway on a ship to reach the peninsula.
