Moroccan Airports See Strong Rebound, Nearing Pre-Pandemic Passenger Levels

From February 7 to the end of May 2022, Moroccan airports have almost recovered the passenger rate they had before the health crisis period, according to figures published by the National Airports Office.
Since the resumption of flights, the airports have shown a "largely positive" recovery rate compared to the same period in 2019. According to ONDA, "this is a 73% rate for passengers and 83% for airport movements, with 5,398,030 passengers welcomed and 50,881 airport movements for all airports."
This recovery rate is equal to or greater than 100% for the airports in the North and the Oriental (Tangier: 103%, Oujda: 123%, Nador: 99%) and is also improving for other airports (including Fez: 85%, Marrakech: 63%, Agadir: 69%).
As for international traffic, the figures are also interesting and reflect the definitive resumption of activities with a cumulative recovery rate of 74% compared to the same period in 2019.
