Moroccan Agri-Food Giant Diana Holding Eyes African Expansion

The Moroccan agri-food giant, Diana Holding, is reportedly preparing a "strategic realignment" of its businesses (viticulture, arboriculture, bottling, olive growing) and is considering investing in the coming months for the development of the company in Africa.
Diana Holding, based in the upscale Souissi district of Rabat, wants to shine on the continent. For the past three months, Rita Maria Zniber, the group’s president, and her son Leyth, recently appointed Chief Operating Officer (COO), have been exchanging with consultants, bankers and lawyers to study the group’s external growth opportunities, particularly in Central Africa.
The group’s objective is to increase its production capacity and strengthen its continental distribution channels, in a context of health crisis marked by the rise in the prices of international transport, according to La Tribune Afrique. In this sense, Diana Holding is working to launch a strategic review of its portfolio in the coming days to examine its consistency with this major investment project.
The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) or the American giant Mc Kinsey, very active in the kingdom, or the Moroccan firm Valyans could be hired for this mission. For the moment, only the executive committee of Diana Holding would be in the confidence of this project. This, to avoid any coveting from its competitors.
