Moroccan Actress Declines Donated Apartment Despite Housing Crisis

Although her situation is very precarious, Moroccan actress Aicha Mahmah has rejected the proposal of Hayat El Idrissi, who wanted to put her in touch with a benefactor. The latter donated an apartment to her in Rabat.
"I informed the artist Mahmah of the donor’s offer, but she declined it," said singer Hayat El Idrissi, stressing that she was very grateful, but prefers to look for a rental in Casablanca.
In a previous post, Hayat El Idrissi had tried to get in touch with the Moroccan actress, whose home, infested with rats, had become unlivable. A situation that had moved the Moroccans and prompted a deputy to question the Minister of Culture.
Last Monday, Aicha Mahmah had launched an SOS on her Facebook account, imploring benefactors to find her decent housing. "Everyone is fighting against the coronavirus. Thank God, the vaccine has arrived! As for me, I’m still dealing with the rats who evicted me from my home," she had lamented.
