Molenbeek Names New Sports Complex After Ju-Jitsu Champion Amal Amjahid
Following the call issued a few weeks ago by the municipality of Molenbeek, inviting residents to choose the name of the sports hall located on the Quai des Charbonnages, the choice has fallen on Amal Amjahid.
The sports hall, whose inauguration is scheduled for this summer, will bear the name of the Belgian Ju-jitsu champion, Amal Amjahid. This infrastructure will consist of a multi-sports hall, a boxing room, a nursery, a cafeteria or even a multipurpose room to be used for other activities, reports bx1.be.
The Moroccan-born champion is delighted with this honor bestowed upon her. "When you step back and analyze this journey, you realize it’s impressive. All these world and European championship titles have only been possible thanks to the support and help of several people. Anything is possible in life. You can start from nothing, evolve... But you have to be patient above all and show perseverance," she said.
