Belgian-Moroccan Amal Amjahid Clinches 9th Jiu-Jitsu World Title in Abu Dhabi

New consecration for the Belgian of Moroccan origin Amal Amjahid. She won the Jiu-Jitsu World Champion title for the 9th time in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. She defeated the French Laurence Cousin Fouillat in the final by a score of 2-2 and victory by advantage.
Amal Amjahid does not hide her joy at being at the peak of her form for this new victory. "This 9th world title means a lot to me, I am proud of it. Because the fight was very difficult both inside and outside. It was not only focused on my world competitors. But also outside, without which I would never have been able to participate," reports bx1.be.
It is a personal satisfaction for Amal to win this competition, given the problems she encountered with the Federation of her country. The Belgian Ju-Jitsu Federation had filed a request with the JJIF that Amal and the other athletes who had left the federation be excluded from the World Championships for three years.
"Without the clemency of the International Ju-Jitsu Federation, which did not wish to destroy the career of several accomplished and promising athletes, this title would have been impossible. Of course, I competed without a flag at this World Championship, but it is my city, my native country, my loved ones that I represent and who accompany my thoughts before each fight," she said.
