Molenbeek explodes with joy after Morocco’s qualification

As soon as the penalty shootout ended, the supporters converged towards the Étang Noir crossroads. The area became the main gathering point, where the crowd used flags and fireworks. The square was saturated in a few minutes by the successive arrivals of supporters.

The gathering brought together young people and families from several neighborhoods of the capital. The movements were made on foot or by vehicle, leading to honking in the surrounding streets late into the night.

On site, volunteers and social workers equipped with safety vests supervised the participants. This civic system worked in connection with the municipal authorities to manage the flow of people and maintain order during the celebrations.

These celebrations also spread to other areas of the city. For the supporters present, this result officially qualifies the Moroccan team for the final scheduled for this Sunday.
