Two Moderate Earthquakes Shake Northern Morocco’s Driouch Province

The province of Driouch, in northern Morocco, recorded two seismic shocks this Sunday, with magnitudes of 3.1 and 3.5 on the Richter scale.
According to the seismic alert bulletin of the National Institute of Geophysics (IGN), the two shocks, the epicenter of which is located in the commune of Tsaft, occurred respectively at 10:32:27 and 10:34:41 (GMT+1).
The first shock felt is at a depth of 17 km, at a latitude of 34.935°N and a longitude of 3.746°W, while the second is at a depth of 23 km, at a latitude of 34.974°N and a longitude of 3.746°W, specifies the same IGN communiqué.
These two tremors come after the shocks of November 17 last in the Midelt region.
