MMA Fighter Transitions from Underground Bouts to Professional Octagon

For about ten years in combat sports, Hamza Allal has fought several times in clandestine fights. Today, he is leaving the illegal rings for the octagon.

"I started with muay-thai, today I train every day, or almost every day." Hamza Allal, who has been following in the footsteps of his father, a boxer, for 10 years, has participated in a few fights at YFC, before hearing about King of the Streets (KOTS) from a friend. "At first, it seemed a bit barbaric to me, then I was seduced by the atmosphere that reigns there, you can’t find it anywhere else. [...] There are sometimes fights between fascists and anti-fascists or between hooligans, but always well trained in combat," explains the one nicknamed the Inquisitor to 20minutes. He then tries the adventure. He has participated twice in KOTS fights. An organization that organizes illegal fights in secret locations, without rules or time limits.

His first fight takes place "somewhere in the depths of Sweden, in the middle of a hockey field" in June 2022. His opponent is 10 years his senior. They advance towards each other. "At that moment, it’s kill or be killed," explains Hamza, the younger of the two, originally from Bordeaux. "Once you get past that little moment when you wonder ’but what am I doing here’, the instinct takes over again." The young man achieves a magnificent victory by winning by technical KO after a hard-fought fight. "It was the best moment of my life, no one gave me the winner," he recalls. His second illegal fight, which took place last March, ended in defeat.

Hamza is leaving the illegal rings for the octagon. His first fight will take place on June 17 at the Arkéa Arena in Bordeaux. He will participate in the MMA GP.
