Missing Moroccan Man’s Remains Found in Palma de Mallorca Drug Case

The Spanish police have just announced that they have discovered the remains of a body that could be that of a young Moroccan who has been missing for several months in Palma de Mallorca.
26-year-old Moustapha El Karchaoui has not given any news to his relatives since last August, when his family reported his disappearance to the Guardia Civil.
Today, a series of clues found by the police and Civil Guard investigators have led them to conclude that it is a "forced disappearance", reports the local newspaper Diario de Mallorca.
The young Moroccan may have been in contact with drug trafficking networks in the city, which have been dismantled in recent months as part of various police operations, the investigators say, suggesting a disappearance related to settling scores.
The police also believe that Moustapha El Karchaoui was murdered and the perpetrators of the murder dismembered the body before throwing the remains into a swampy area.
