A doctor in his sixties was found dead on Saturday morning in his office on the ground floor of a building in the city center of Meknes. The decomposing body was discovered by the police.
For three days, the man, who lived alone in his office, had not given any sign of life. He did not answer the phone or the door, notes the daily Assabah.
Intrigued by this unusual silence, a close relative decided to inform the Meknes police of her concern. Neighbors even confirmed to her that pestilential odors were emanating from his apartment.
Upon discovering the lifeless body in a room of the office, an investigation was opened to determine the exact circumstances of the death.
