AC Milan Nears Deal for Chelsea’s Ziyech: Loan with Option to Buy
Moroccan player Hakim Ziyech would be close to a transfer to AC Milan. The Italian club would have proposed a loan that could become permanent.
Many European clubs have been interested in Ziyech since his troubles with Chelsea. But AC Milan remains the only one that keeps coming back every time. The Italian club, which recently won the Scudetto, would be in the process of finalizing the negotiations for the transfer of the Moroccan player. The two parties would be on the verge of agreeing on a 5 million euro loan with a 20 million euro purchase option.
The past season has not been easy for Hakim Ziyech. In 44 appearances, the Moroccan player only managed to score 8 goals and provide 6 assists. He had raised great hopes when he was transferred from Inter Milan. But with the arrival of Thomas Tuchel at the helm of the club, the player was sidelined, spending more time on the bench than on the field. Tuchel blamed him for his drop in form and his difficulty in adapting to the English game system.
Many experts had called on him to prove himself elsewhere, in a club that gave value and importance to his potential as an energetic, cunning and versatile player. Ziyech took advantage of his disagreement with the national coach Vahid Halilhodzic to regain his form and give the best of himself.
The Moroccan player has enormous potential that could make any club happy. Chelsea said it was open to any interesting proposals.
