Meknes Tourism Boost: Two New Hotels to Add Over 1,000 Beds in $19 Million Investment

Two new tourist units, with a total investment of 193.1 million dirhams, are under construction in Meknes. This will strengthen the attractiveness of the destination.
These two tourist units have a bed capacity of 1,042 beds. There are seven other tourism projects with a total cost of more than 142 million dirhams and a bed capacity of 480 beds, which are currently under study, said Ahmed Khemlichi, the prefectural delegate of tourism in Meknes, during a meeting focused on the tangible and intangible heritage of the city.
In 2019, a tourist unit with 27 beds was built with a total investment of 6 million dirhams. To date, the prefecture of Meknes has 76 classified tourist establishments with a bed capacity of 4,083 beds.
