Mbappé Congratulates PSG Teammate Hakimi on Morocco’s World Cup Upset Over Spain

Impressed by the performance of his friend and teammate Achraf Hakimi during the match against Spain, Kylian Mbappé sent him congratulations following Morocco’s qualification.
French striker Kylian Mbappé left a message on social media addressed to Hakimi, "citing his name, associated with a penguin, corresponding to the Moroccan’s celebration, and a crown". He followed the match between the Atlas Lions and La Roja until the end and was one of the first people to write to the player to congratulate him.
While the two teams were unable to open the scoring even during extra time, the Moroccans were able to dominate the Spaniards during the penalty shootout. The last liberating shot was that of the PSG right-back, thus sending Morocco to the quarter-finals of the 2022 Qatar World Cup. They will face Portugal.
