Mazraoui Impresses at Manchester United, Earns Praise from Owen

Arrived at Old Trafford last August from Bayern Munich, Moroccan international Noussair Mazraoui is already thriving with Manchester United to the point of amazing a former Premier League star.
Former Manchester United striker Michael Owen is full of admiration for Noussair Mazraoui, who has just arrived at Old Trafford. "I think Noussair Mazraoui has started the season very, very well. I’ve been really impressed with him," he said to Genting Casino. He will add: "We’ve done some evaluations after a few games, but it seems he’s adapted very well to the Premier League. In the opening game, he made some great tackles, great interceptions, great counter-attacks and he seemed comfortable on the ball. He seemed quite solid for an opening game."
Noussair has started each of United’s first four Premier League matches this season, all at right-back. According to Manchester Evening News, he has shown promising signs early on, both defensively and offensively. Last Saturday, the Atlas Lion contributed to his new club’s convincing 3-0 win over Southampton at St Mary’s. Owen believes the Atlas Lion could be Manchester United’s best summer signing: "If those stats are anything to go by, and he’s going to improve as well, then that could be a very good signing. The early signs are promising, so he could be United’s most impressive summer signing."
Mazraoui joined Manchester United on August 13 from Bayern Munich for four years plus one option year at the English club for a fee of 15 million euros paid to Bayern Munich. The 26-year-old player is reuniting with his former Ajax Amsterdam coach Erik ten Hag at Old Trafford and the adventure looks promising.
