Mauritania Eases Visa Rules for Moroccan Businesses, Boosting Economic Ties

Mauritania has decided to relax the conditions for obtaining a two-year multiple-entry visa for member companies, according to the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM).
"When submitting your visa application to the Mauritanian Embassy in Rabat, we invite you to attach the CGEM certificate," the employers’ organization reminds companies in a letter.
The CGEM has also advocated with the Mauritanian authorities for the granting of longer-term visas with multiple entries for Moroccan companies.
To recall, on October 15, a meeting was held in Casablanca between the President of the CGEM, Chakib Alj, and the President of the Mauritanian National Employers’ Union (UNPM), Mohamed Zein El Abidine Ould Cheikh Ahmed, in the presence in particular of the Mauritanian Ambassador to Morocco. During this meeting, the CGEM and the UNPM promised to promote bilateral economic relations and strengthen the ties between the private sectors of the two countries.
